The early-bird philosophy

After receiving your plan for a roof, wall, or floor system, we enter all the dimensions into our computer system to the nearest 1/16 of an inch and visually start constructing your building. We feel this is the most crucial time in the design process because it is at this point where we can explore various routes that effectively maximize your time and money. You are always invited to sit down with our designers and ask questions during this process. By seeing your plan visually and interacting with us one-on-one, you will have the added confidence knowing that your system will be built exactly the way you need it to be built and in a way that is easy to install.

It's time for a decision

After designing a system specific to your needs, the next step is making a decision to order from us based on our competitive quote. Once you have made a decision, all lumber prices are locked in despite any market price fluctuation.

You will then be provided with plotted drawings, shop drawings, and our unique order verification sheets. What sets us apart from the competition is our unmatched commitment to eliminate miscommunication and prevent errors. Through use of our standard verification sheets, you can have confidence knowing that your engineered components will be built exactly as you ordered them. By preventing unwanted incidents at this stage, we have helped homeowners and contractors save countless hours and thousands of dollars in time and money.

The fabrication begins

The production system at Spelts Schultz is truly top of the line. Our 2008 upgrade added an Omni Miser II automated saw system, as well as auto stackers, an auto jigging system, new floor truss machine, and an all-new wall panel line. Saws are connected directly to the computers that designed your systems, and have the ability to make cuts accurate to 1/32 of an inch. In addition to eliminating human error, our automated system makes the fabrication of your trusses several times faster than more primitive methods, so you don't have to worry about waiting on your trusses when you should be putting them up.

Spelts Schultz delivers once again

You will be notified as soon as your system is ready, and we will coordinate delivery with you or your foremen. We pride ourselves in being honest with our delivery times and not promising something that won't happen. You can be sure that your trusses are delivered on the day we tell you they will be delivered. Both our semi truck and our 5th-wheel pickup are equipped with roll-off trailers that gently and easily guide your trusses during delivery, preventing damage to your trusses that can result from more crude unloading methods.
